Barcelona – Barcelona has a bad memory of the game against Bayern Munich in the Champions League two seasons ago. Reunited this season, Lionel Messi optimistic results in the last meeting will not be repeated.

In the 2012/2013 season, Barca and Bayern met in the semifinals. However, these two games have been a nightmare for the Blaugrana.

In the first leg at home to Bayern, Barca flushed four goals without reply. While playing at the Camp Nou, Barca back defeated, this time by a score of 0-3. Barca were knocked out by striking aggregate, 0-7.

Now the two teams met in the semi-finals. Barca will first host the first leg on Thursday (07/05/2015) pm dawn before the turn of a visit to the Allianz Arena next week.

“We’re in the semi-final against a strong team inside Bayern. We did not like the way we lost against them earlier (in the semi-finals of the Champions League 2012/2013) but the team is now different and the game will be different,” said Messi was quoted as saying by the official UEFA website.

“We have no reason right now, and so is Bayern. I know they were hit by some injury problems but Bayern are a big club, they should not complain about it.”

Barca and Bayern did face each other in the opposite condition. Barca down with full force – except Jeremy Mathieu who have problems with the Achilles tendon muscle. While Bayern missed a number of regular starters because of injuries such as David Alaba, Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben up.

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski who had been in doubt go down in the game against Barca remains were taken to Camp Nou. Polish striker will perform using a protective face mask.

“I do not know whether to play with a protective mask to be difficult (Robert) Lewandowski. Many players are playing with a mask and if the club think he can play, then there will be no problem,” said Messi respond about Lewandowski.
